The executive leadership coaching industry is growing remarkably. One study by IBISWorld found that the business coaching market will grow 3.7% in 2020, and will be worth $15.6 billion by the end of the year.
A number of different trends are converging, which will change the direction of the executive leadership coaching industry. At Moulton Executive Coaching, we have carefully monitored these industry trends.
The following trends have had a significant effect on our clients, as well as other organizations that use executive leadership coaching.
Some of the biggest trends in the executive coaching industry are listed below. We are readily embracing these changes as we offer top-tier services to our clients.
Although many executive coaches are women, they don’t necessarily tailor their services to female clients. Moulton Executive Coaching is an exception. We have worked with many female clients and offer feedback to help them excel in the workplace. However, many other executive coaches take a homogeneous approach, offering the same coaching plans to both men and women.
This homogenous coaching model has not worked as well for female clients, so other coaching companies are starting to follow the same path we have taken. They are differentiating their services by gender, because they recognize that the business world is not always receptive to women that follow the same trajectory as men. More coaches are starting to help women stand out and win in a male-dominated environment by playing to their own strengths, and finding the most pragmatic approaches to break the current status quo.
Technology is playing a more prominent role in executive leadership coaching than ever before. In 2020, executive coaches are exploring two new avenues with digital technology:
Technology is making coaching services more cost-effective and enabling coaches to work with a wider number of clients. Executive coaches will explore new ways to use technology to scale their businesses.
We recognize that millennials are the future leaders of the global workplace. Many organizations feel the need to invest more resources training up-and-coming millennial leaders.
The International Coaching Federation recently conducted a survey of 1,000 executive coaches from around the world. Their survey showed that 82% of organizations intend to invest in millennial leadership coaching over the next couple of years.
